Leading up to the week five game against the Cincinnati Bengals, there was a decent amount of hype surrounding the Bills after winning back-to-back games against what were considered to be better teams. We discussed on Locked On Bills whether or not this team could live up to the new found hype. They did not. The Bills went to Cincinnati and lost that game 20-16.
After the game, the hype died down a bit. However, the team responded with another pair of victories, including a dominating performance against the Raiders. Prompting both national media recognition of the Bills and the rally cry that these Bills are “for real”.
On top of this already increased hype, the Bills added former Panthers star WR Kelvin Benjamin at the last minute of the trade deadline. Further increasing the hype that the 2017 Buffalo Bills are “all in” to make a push this season.
So here we are again, Buffalo gaining national attention for being “legit” and heading into a game they are supposed to win. On the road, in prime time. With everyone watching. Can the Buffalo Bills live up to the increased hype surrounding the team?
