Offensive coordinator Rick Dennison utilized his personnel matchups and play design to get players open against one of the best defenses in the NFL.
On this play, Dennison sends out 13 personnel (1 RB, 3 TEs) and the Broncos play man coverage, matching up defensive back Will Parks against TE Nick O’Leary.
The play fake by Taylor holds Parks just enough for O’Leary to separate during his release and drive phase. Parks is in chase mode, which allows O’Leary to separate down the field for a big swing in momentum. This was O’Leary’s only catch of the game, but the former Seminole has really carved out a niche in Dennison’s offensive scheme.
