Injuries shaped the outcome of this week 11 matchup between the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bills were missing several key offensive players including Sammy Watkins and Eric Wood, but they also lost Robert Woods and Lesean Mccoy during the game.

Cincinnati was dealt a huge blow on their first drive, as they lost AJ Green to a hamstring injury.

Those injuries caused the offense to struggle even more than normal. They were 3-12 on third downs but did just enough in the second halaf to put a couple field goals on the board.

It really was the tale of two halves. The Bills are a team that plays well offensively early (#2 DVOA) but average in the second half (#16).The #1 rushing attack in the NFL finished with 183 rushing yards and 129 of those yards were earned in the second half.

Buffalo’s defense is just the opposite, they are terrible in the first half (#32) and are 10th overall in second halves. The Bills surrendered 190 of the Bengals 300 total yards in the first half. The defense singlehandedly won this game for Buffalo. Kyle Williams and Marcell Dareus led the defensive unit.

They helped shut down the Bengals in the second half by only allowing 32 rushing yards and 78 yards passing.
