General Manager Brandon Beane and his pro scouts are still grinding, and today they went out and signed a familiar face in wide receiver Kaelin Clay.

Clay was traded for by the Bills organization in the preseason last season.

He appeared in 74 regular season snaps for the team and was targeted only 5 times, hauling in 1 reception for 28 yards. He finished the season with the Carolina Panthers and brought in a modest 9 receptions and 117 yards.
Clay definitely has a chance to create a niche this season, seeing as how the Bills are looking for receiving help, and they could also make use of him as a punt returner.
His role as a returner is probably his best bet to make the roster. In 2017, he returned three kicks for 52 yards and 21 punts for 160 yards, including one touchdown.
The team continues to chip away at free agency while working up to the draft. Expect to see a few more minor moves to round out the roster prior to the NFL Draft.
