NFL Free Agency Tracker: Day One’s Big Moves

The NFL free agent tampering period got off to a hot start today with some major moves rocking the NFL landscape in the midst of all the already-chaotic outside world. There were blockbuster trades, mind-boggling trades, and some major re-signings that took place as teams tried their best to orchestrate business as usual and build up their rosters in preparation for the 2020 season.

Here’s a rundown of how things went down on the first day:

The Texans sent DeAndre Hopkins and a 4th round pick to the Cardinals for RB David Johnson, a 2nd round pick, and a 2021 4th round pick. That’s it; there isn’t a punchline.

Tampa Bay gets DE Jason Pierre Paul re-signed to a 2-year, $27M deal.

The Colts and 49ers made a big trade, with the Colts sending their 13th overall pick to the 49ers for All-Pro DT DeForest Buckner. Buckner and the Colts had agreed on a new deal for 5 years worth $21M per year.

The Vikings extended punter Britton Coquitt with a 3-year deal.

The Falcons and the Ravens worked a trade to send Hayden Hurst and a 4th rounder to Atlanta in exchange for the Falcons’ 2nd and 5th round picks.

Additionally, the Ravens had already traded their 5th round pick to the Jaguars for Calais Campbell.

The Dolphins and Ereck Flowers agreed to to a 3-year, $30M deal with $19.95M fully guaranteed.

The Broncos and OL Graham Glasgow agreed to to a 4-year, $44M contract.

The Browns and QB Case Keenum agreed to to a 3-year deal.

Former Eagles tackle Halapoulivaati Vaitai agreed to a $50M, 5-year deal with the Lions.

The Titans re-signed OT Dennis Kelly to a 3-year deal.

The Giants and CB James Bradberry agreed to a 3-year deal.

The Dolphins and CB Byron Jones agreed to to a deal making him the highest paid cornerback in the NFL.

The Bills traded a 1st, 5th, 6th, and a 2021 4th for Vikings WR Stefon Diggs and a 2020 7th rounder.

The Ravens and DT Michael Brockers agreed to a 3-year deal.

Jimmy Graham agreed to a 2-year deal with the Bears.

Offensive tackle Jack Conklin and the Browns agreed to a 3-year deal.

The Browns and Austin Hooper agreed to a 4-year deal.

The Cowboys and Amari Cooper agreed on a 5-year, $100M deal.

The Lions and Jamie Collins agreed to a 3-year deal.

The Packers and Christian Kirksey agreed to a 2-year deal.

The Raiders agree on a deal with Marcus Mariota.

The Dolphins and Shaq Lawson agreed to a 3-year, $30M deal.

The Dolphins and Kyle Van Noy agreed to a 4-year deal.

The Jets and tackle George Fant agreed to terms on a 3-year deal.

The Eagles and DT Javon Hargrave agreed on a 3-year deal.

The 49ers re-signed Arik Armstead to a 5-year, $85M deal.

The Titans and Ryan Tannehill agreed to a 4-year, $118M deal with $62M fully guaranteed.

The Bills signed defensive end Mario Addison to a 3-year deal.
