PFF’s All Pro Team

Pro football Focus rolls out their all-pro team.

Every year the analytics site Pro Football Focus, rolls out their All-pro team based on player’s grades and this year one of our own made the team. Starting left guard Richie Incognito was named to this team based on his consistent play after taking a year off from football. PFF has Richie graded as the 2nd best guard in the game behind Marshal Yanda of the Baltimore Ravens. Richie ended the season rated at a 90 overall, a 90.3 in run blocking and an 84.6 in the pass game. The former Cornhusker participated in 1097 snaps this year all while leading the leagues 1st ranked rushing offense and 13th offense overall. Richie is set to become a free agent and although he has stated that he wants to return, it will depend on his value on the market as a 32 year old lineman. He is expected to get quite the raise and with LT Glenn due a giant contract some may wonder if Richie has played his final game in Buffalo. Hopefully, that is isn’t the case.

Look at how he gets down-field to block the pursuing LB. His block sets up the alley for RB Gillislee.

Richie leads on the power run here. He hits OLB Richardson with a nice jolt to give Karlos the edge.

Richie and Glenn pull and lead on this sweep play. Look at how he engages and takes Cushing right out of the play.

Richie was by far the Bills best blocker all year. But what was even more surprising was to hear how good of a teammate he was. A leader in a locker room that didn’t have many. He will be a hard player to replace if he leaves. Hopefully the Bills can strike a deal that works our for both sides.
