The 5’10” and 185-pound redshirt senior possesses a powerful leg and showed it off during Senior Bowl week. There were questions about his lack of reps on long field goal attempts because a 50-yarder was the longest he hit in his college career, but his week in Mobile did enough to convince the Bills’ brass about his value in the sixth round.

Bass sunk 114 of 116 extra points in college and 54 of 68 field goal attempts (79.41%). His junior year was really impressive, where he hit 90% of his field goal attempts. However, he regressed as a senior, hitting only 20 of 28 in 2019.

He will compete with longtime veteran Stephen Hauschka, who is still reliable inside the 50-yard mark. Bass needs to rebound from 2019 and show consistency to win the job against one of the Bills’ team captains.
