Why It Worked: QB Matt Barkley’s Eight-Yard Touchdown Pass to WR Zay Jones

Buffalo Bills quarterback Matt Barkley only had a few practices under his belt going into this game against the New York Jets. But the veteran showed that he is a lot more advanced than we think. On 3rd and goal, Barkley executes a full field read by working through to his fourth option on this play.

The Jets play Cover 3 match and Jones finds a window near the back of the end zone. He goes to the ground and hauls in the fourth touchdown of his career.

The zone beater concept dialed up by offensive coordinator Brian Daboll was perfect and the Bills offense went on to score 41 points to propel them to their third win of the year.
