Senior wide receiver Ryan Switzer from the University of North Carolina appeared in 53 games, primarily from the slot WR position, in an uptempo spread attack. Switzer and potential first round draft pick QB Mitch Trubisky connected often in 2016, leading to 96 catches for 1112 yards and six scores. According to Pro Football Focus, Switzer averaged 2.76 yards per route run. He was targeted 108 times while aligned in the slot, where he hauled in 84 of his catches for 960 yards and two touchdowns.
